Getting There

  • Meeting Point: We will meet at Placa Catalunya, somewhere by the fountain.
  • Flights: Barcelona’s main airport is Barcelona JT El Prat, serving several European and International flights. It is served by 2 rail lines, both connecting to the city of Barcelona. Metro L9 with trains running roughly every 10 mins. Renfe R2 Nord with trains running 30 mins. Although not recommended, Girona and Reus airports may also be options. Both airports have buses that can connect to both Renfe stations where you can get a Regional train to Barcelona although frequencies may not be as regular. For Girona, there may be an option available to travel on a High Speed Train.

  • Trains: Placa Catalunya has 2 Renfe stations around the area: Placa Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. The lattar is a 10 minute walk away from the square. (Although there’s a much quicker jounrey to there on the Metro) There’s also a few Metro Stations and a FGC station serving around the area including Catalunya, Catalunya (FGC), Universitat, Urquinaona etc. Barcelona Sants is the main Rail hub which connects most of the Rodalies and Regional lines, and long distance services including high speed services.

  • Tickets: It is highly recommended to buy the ATM T-Dia. (Zones 1-6) This covers mainly all transports: Renfe, Metro, FGC, Trams, Montjuic and Vallvidrera Funiculars and most buses that covers the 6 zones. For buses, it may be worth to double check the routes if it’s eligible. If the route includes the ATM logo on the maps and buses it is a good sign that it’s eligible.
